Coco Martin made a surprise visit at the Kapamilya noontime show “It’s Showtime.”
While Mariel, Amy, and Karylle were congratulating Vice on the success of his movie “Beauty and the Bestie,” Coco suddenly appeared on stage and embraced the latter.
Vice was really surprised since he knew that Coco was taping.

“The last time we saw each other was on the last shooting day of our movie. We didn’t get to see each other during Christmas or New Year, we were just calling each other,” Vice said.
Vice congratulated Coco and said “Hari ka na ng telebisyon, hari ka pa ng pelikula” (you’re the king of television and now the king of movies too.)
Coco also thanked the fans for their support and congratulated Vice, Direk Wenn Deramas, Star Cinema, and Viva Films for the success of “Beauty and the Bestie” which became No. 1.
“Aside from the success of our movie, what really matters is what we have achieved, we became much closer as friends,” Vice said.
In the past they would have “tampuhan” (small misunderstandings) because Coco didn’t want to guest in Gandang Gabi Vice since he doesn’t like talk shows.
When Vice suggested to the management that they do a movie, Coco refused. When Vice asked Coco about his problem, the latter said “hindi pa time (it’s not yet time). We will do a movie when the time comes and when we really need to be together.”
Vice remembered that last year was a really trying time for him. A lot of people were putting him down, he got a lot of bashing in social media, and some people said a lot of bad things about him. He recalled the times when people would say to him “the horse is dead, the race is over.” Vice said “Coco was there to give me the push I needed, so the horse will fight and run faster.”
Coco said “during those times that Vice was down, I told him not to give up. We will do this together, regain what was lost, and I promise you I will do anything and everything for this movie.”
Its so heartwarming to see the friendship that the two share. “Hindi lang pang showbiz ang friendship namin (our friendship is not only for showbiz),” they said.
