Finally the long wait is over and the confirmation is here, “Beauty and the Bestie” is now the highest-grossing film in the history of the Philippines.
According to the news published by ABS-CBN today January 13, 2016 “Beauty and the Bestie” has overcome the domestic record of “A Second Chance” with a total of P480M. What makes the Coco Martin and Vice Ganda’s movie even remarkable among the other films released by Star Cinema; “Beauty and the Bestie” was able to overtake “Praybeyt Benjamin” total gross income of P456M.
As of Tuesday night, BATB has earned more than P481M in which Director Wenn Deramas clarified that this count is not yet final henceforth, International count is not yet included so expect to have bigger news about “Beauty and the Bestie” in the coming days.
Star Cinema has not yet release the International Box Office figures for “Beauty and the Bestie” the only thing we can do is to wait and be surprised for the upcoming good news about Coco-Vice tandem film.
To cut the alleged “ticket-swapping” issue, Direk Wenn has a message for everyone who are still trying to drag them down, believed in the story and insisting that they deceived the people against “My Bebe Love” film.
“How can we dictate the biggest malls (SM and Ayala) of our country? Are we that powerful to control and manipulate Star Cinema’s Committee to sell BATB tickets only and set aside the tickets of other entry films during MMFF 2015?”
