For the past six months, AlDub successfully shook the nation, from Batanes to Jolo which has been a phenomenal highlight of the year 2015.
In a short period of time, the said love team also quivered the well-known social site; Twitter, for having 41 million tweets from #aldubsatamangpanahon which was a fund raising project for “Eat Bulaga.”

The never-heard words or phrases were born and used all over the country such as “Regine, Wooh!”, “Mambo no. 5”, “Chiwibols”, “Babala…asawa ni Babalu”, “Quando, Quando”, and the most popular, the “Pabebe wave.”
Even the “Hugot” and “Pick-up” lines have boomed and acknowledged by elder audiences, the appreciation of the two outstanding singers from Hollywood, Bryan Mcknight and Dawin for always using their songs “God gave me you” and “Dessert” during Kalyeserye. Last but not the least, the act of not abandoning the Filipino tradition of serenading a woman.
Despite being influential, AlDub has an expiration date in the world of show business. After the 6th monthsary celebration in January 2016, is it time to step down from the peak of popularity?
What makes Aldub a phenomenon is its rare love team on a TV show, not in a Filipino TV series. In addition, it is unexpected and unscripted when Maine Mendoza a.k.a Yaya Dub was shocked and embarrassed to see Alden Richards on the other screen watching her dubsmash which triggered admiration for the lad.
Because of their naturalism, people didn’t hesitate to love and accept that kind of concept. What makes it more special is the damsel’s ability to dubsmash while doing ugly faces. As a public figure, TV personalities are more likely to spend time of having beautiful appearances but on Maine’s perspective, different facial expressions are assets. The uniqueness of this story males them last longer than typical love teams.
