2015 was a very good year for “Eat Bulaga’s” ‘Kalyeserye’ love team AlDub.
Projects poured in like rain to both Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza and the duo enjoyed enormous popularity from humongous billboards on major roads, strings of TV commercials, and ad spreads on print media. The same year, AlDub was featured on “My Bebe Love #KiligPaMore”, an entry to Metro Manila Film Festival and their very first movie together.
What’s even amazing about AlDub is the fact that this ‘Kalyeserye’ love team was completely unplanned. The duo came into existence by accident which started with a simple wave and smile. After that first encounter, followers of “Eat Bulaga” got curious and found AlDub adorable.
The ‘Kalyeserye’ love team recently celebrated its 6-month anniversary with Alden and Maine as the top endorsers of 2016.
Endorsements and advertisements for AlDub have been lined up this new year with new TV commercials. Expect the duo to appear in various advertisements either together or individually.
In the Bingo Cookie Biscuit commercial, Maine and Alden are walking their pet dogs separately in the first scene. One day, they bump into each other while holding biscuits and stare at each other.
A new McDonald’s TVC came out this year where Alden orders via drive-through. He then brings the food to Maine who is quietly seated on stage and calls her name gently. Definitely this will have a follow-up TVC for the mega fast-food global brand in the near future.
Alden also appears in some TV advertisements. He was featured in the 555 Carne Norte ad holding a plate of corned beef and a heart-shaped pillow.
Another new endorsement for Alden is the latest Gard anti-dandruff shampoo commercial where he is with other guys. Alden is likewise endorsing Dońa Maria rice.
Maine, on the other hand, has many solo endorsements too. One of these is a teaser for #younglove where she wears a long green sequined gown while entering a grandiose home saying “Kala ko siya na ang best, di pala siya ang tunay” (I thought he (or she) was the best but he/she is not real). While walking, she grabs her shimmering crystal necklace and pulls it from her neck. At the end of this teaser ad, the word ‘abangan’ (watch for it) is shown with the date 01 30 16.
The latest TV commercial for Talk N’ Text (TNT) is a sure winner. This may be the longest TV ad for AlDub which runs for more than 3 minutes. It has a wedding scene with great ‘kilig’ moments that fans will enjoy.
As far as 2016 is concerned, the phenomenal love team will have more endorsements. The bankability of Alden and Maine is unquestionable at this point, making them the top endorsers this year.
