1. Tito Sotto & Helen Gamboa : (married for 46 years)
Did you know that Helen Gamboa had already been married to Senator Tito Sotto before he was allowed to her home to court Helen formally? In an interview with “Showbiz Inside Report” and published on the ABS-CBN online last October 27, 2010, Helen reminisced the start of her relationship with Tito, who was then a part of a band. Her mother was so protective of her that she would accompany her to her dates with various admirers.
Despite her mother’s strong disapproval of the senator, Helen and Tito would secretly meet, and eventually found themselves in a church in Sto. Tomas, Batangas exchanging vows — without her mother knowing it. After two years, they married again publicly.
They celebrated their 46th anniversary last September 26, 2015, have been married that long and their relationship is as strong as ever, blessed with four children and nine grandchildren.
