ABSCBN’s “It’s Showtime” host Vhong Navarro denied the rumors about the noontime show saying goodbye early next year. The Kapamilya host admits that even “It’s Showtime” is greatly affected by the success of the phenomenal loveteam “AlDub”, the fight is still on.
During the Press Conference of Vhong Navarro’s recent movie “Buy Now Die Later”, which is an official entry to 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival, the Kapamilya host directly answered the questions thrown at him about “AlDub”.
He admitted that since Eat Bulaga discovered “AlDub”, “Its Showtime” ratings started to go down. They even had an experience of getting a single digit in TV ratings surveys.
“Oo, naman. Hindi naman natin ikakaila yun. Sabi ko nga, kumbaga, that time, ang Eat Bulaga parang gumanu’n (taas-baba ng rating) sila, kami rin nararamdaman din namin ngayon yun”, Vhong Navarro said.
Even their noontime show ratings are affected by the sudden rise of “AlDub”, Vhong Navarro revealed that there was no tension happening in his workplace. He also said that “Its Showtime” will not give up because of its promise to continuously make people happy in whatever situation that may arise.
“Natatawa ako kasi para kaming hindi naapektuhan. Dapat kasi, sabi nga namin, Panghawakan natin yung sinabi natin sa mga tao na paliligayahin natin sila kahit anong mangyari.”
