With the unstoppable popularity of Alden Richards and Yaya Dub or collectively known as AlDub in Eat Bulaga’s Kalyeserye, GMA Films was quick to cash in on the phenomenal loveteam by co-producing a film with OctoArts Films entitled “My Bebe Love #KiligPaMore”.
GMA Films has been known to produce quality movies with highly acclaimed film projects such as “Sa Puso Ng Dagat” and “Jose Rizal” both directed by Ms. Marilou Diaz-Abaya back in 1998.
Officially started in 1995, GMA Films was formally known as Cinemax Films. By 1998 to avoid confusion with the newly established cable TV movie channel of HBO called Cinemax, GMA Network changed its name to just GMA Films and begun producing notable movies until year 2000. Finally, when Felipe Gozon took charged of the entire GMA Network, the Kapuso film production outfit was under hiatus for merely 5 years.
Fast forward to present, GMA Films is in the verge of resurrection through the existence of the epic popularity of Eat Bulaga’s Kalyeserye and will present a romantic-comedy flick entitled “My BebeLove #KiligPaMore” featuring the phenomenal split-screen lovers Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza together with Eat Bulaga’s ‘bossing’ Vic Sotto, comedy queen Ai-ai delas Alas which will also feature Joey de Leon, Wally Bayola, Jose Manalo, Paolo Ballesteros, Ryzza Mae Dizon and Sancho Vito delas Alas (Ai-ai’s son) on his very first movie ever.
Directed by Joey Javier Reyes, the My BebeLove #KiligPaMore movie of the Kapuso network is an official entry in the upcoming 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival. As announced by GMA Network’s head honcho Atty. Gozon, GMA Films will be brewing up more movie projects for 2016 including another AlDub movie just in time for the season of love, come Valentine’s Day this February 2016.
With a renewed enthusiastic spirit, the GMA Network outfit is gearing up for the coming new year. Movie goers and loyal fans of the Kapuso channel have something to look forward to since GMA Films is all set to produce movies for 2016.
