Star Cinema MMFF 2015 entry “Beauty and the Bestie” instantly became a victim of bullying when an issue of an alleged ‘Ticket Swapping’ happened in SM Bacoor of the opening day of the festival on Christmas Day.
In a tweet, Direk Joey said that the film’s producer told him that reports about fans who lined up to watch “My Bebe Love” and were given tickets to a different movie were true.
“Got word from producer: IT IS TRUE. Make sure that the title of the movie on YOUR ticket is what you want to watch. Beware of ticket swapping.”
Netizens quickly blamed the Star Cinema movie topbilled by Coco Martin and Vice Ganda, AlDub movie’s closest competitor in terms of gross in MMFF 2015.
In a Facebook status posted by “Beauty and the Bestie” director Wenn Deramas, he addressed it to the netizens making up stories just to throw negative impressions to the current MMFF and to their movie “Beauty and the Bestie.”
A reminder to all the netizens, please be vigilant but please never ever make stories like this. You’re not helping.
