International singer-songwriter David Pomeranz recently flew in to Manila to record his first teleserye theme song for ABS-CBN’s “Born For You”.
Pomeranz did more than that, he was also included in the music video that was shot with the teleserye’s top stars, Janella Salvador and Elmo Magalona.
The music video shows Pomeranz singing and accompanying himself on the piano. Born For You’s destined lovers, Janella and Elmo are shown standing face to face, with their faces close to each other and with their eyes locked on each other.
The three of them were in a big, spacious hall for the video shoot. Pomeranz was wearing a suit, while Janella and Elmo were in casual.
The teleserye “Born For You” may have been inspired by the lyrics of the song of Pomeranz, with the same title. Pomeranz released the song “Born For You” in July 1999. It was the new composition featured in his album Born For You: His Best & More, which was recorded in the Philippines, with the country’s local musicians. The album, according to the website of Pomeranz, is the largest-selling international pop album in the Philippines.
Though it was released more than 15 years ago, it seems Pomeranz re-recorded the song “Born For You” for the teleserye of the same title. Dreamscape also posted pictures of Janella and Elmo, recording in the studio, but it was unclear if all of their voices will be mixed in one song.
Pomeranz apparently enjoyed working with Elmo and Janella and shared their collaboration on his social media site like Facebook.
Born For You will be shown next year, but aside from the its teaser that was uploaded a week ago on YouTube, very few details have been released about the new series.
