ABS-CBN will be launching a new teleserye titled “Dolce Amore” in 2016. It’s a story about a beautiful princess, played by Liza Soberano, who wanted to live like an ordinary girl. Liza stars opposite her love team partner, Enrique Gil, who takes on the role of an ordinary but kind-hearted and conscientious man named Tenten.
The teleserye has a potential to become a top-rater, as it is not only directed by mega-blockbuster director Cathy Garcia-Molina, but also has a power house cast that includes Cherie Gil and Matteo Guidicelli.
Yep, you read that right. Cherie Gil is part of “Dolce Amore”. The iconic classy antagonist, is part of the LizQuen teleserye.
The presence of Cherie alone, would make the series an interesting watch, especially if she plays the role of a villainess. Why is it that when we see her name, we think of her at once as an antagonist? Is it because of that classic “You’re nothing, but a second-rate, trying hard copycat” line? Or is it simply because she’s one villainess that we just love to hate?
There’s something in Cherie that makes you want to hide under the table whenever she turns on that beast mode on screen. Scary, real scary. Haha!
But of course, Cherie is the complete opposite in real life. She’s kind, witty, and charming as can be.
It’s still under wraps what Cherie’s role will be in “Dolce Amore”, but this will mark her return to ABS-CBN as part of the main cast for a teleserye. She was part of the supporting cast for “Muling Buksan Ang Puso” two years ago, and only guested in some shows at the Kapamilya network after that.
We’re sure a lot of Kapamilya fans would be delighted to see LizQuen and Cherie on primetime tv again come 2016.
