Veteran Columnist Alfie Lorenzo wrote on his article in Abante Tonite about his worries about the movie “My Bebe Love” of the infamous Aldub Love team.
According to him, he fears that this very first movie of Aldub will flop because of its director who has a reputation of being a jinx director in the past.
Alfie Lorenzo also mentioned how impressed everyone is on the entries of Atty. Joji Alonzo for the Metro Manila Film Festival. The trailer of “Buy Now Die Later” and “Walang Forever” were done very well compared to the trailer of “My Bebe Love” who did not get any thumbs up from the reporters that he asked. He also said they overheard some saying that they should change their trailer.
Veteran Columnist Alfie Lorenzo also said in his article that it was a good thing that the jinx director was not present during the presscon or else he would be laughed at by the reporters and possibly put on the limelight in a bad way for the trailer of the movie.
Alfie Lorenzo also said that he fears Alden and Maine might be affected by this director’s bad luck that he warned Orly Ilacad (Producer), “Bakit kinuha mo na naman ang malas na direktor na ‘yan? (Why did you get the services again of that jink director?) Hindi ka pa ba nadala sa My Househusband mo na mahina sa takilya? ( Were you not affected on the outcome of your movie My Househusband that did not do well?) Baka malasin din itong movie mo! (This movie might get badluck)”
According to the said article of Alfie Lorenzo, Boss Orly Ilacad replied that it will not be the case this time and that he will ward off the director’s badluck.
I guess that if indeed there is an air of badluck surrounding this director and “My Bebe Love” does well in the movies, then it will prove that no amount of badluck will stop the overwhelming success of the Aldub love team, Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza.
