7. That Thing Called Tadhana – Star Cinema P120,000,000
A story about a broken-hearted girl who meets a boy in a not so normal way. Together, they go to places and find out “where do broken hearts go?”.
This year’s first official blockbuster (a.k.a. any movie that breaches the 100M mark) is “That Thing Called Tadhana”. Originally shown in the Cinema One Originals Festival in 2014, Tadhana features Angelica Panganiban and JM de Guzman in memorable roles penned by Antoinette Jadaone.
Before its commercial release, That Thing Called Tadhana won the Audience Choice Award at the Cinema One Originals Festival, a Best Actress Award for Panganiban via Cinema One and Gawad Tanglaw, and a Palanca for its screenplay. The film is distributed for commercial release by Star Cinema.
