Once again, GMA Network’s top-rated afternoon drama “The Half Sisters” is extended.
Director Mark Reyes is very happy to announce that ‘The Half-Sisters’ will be extended until January 2016. Since the pilot episode last June 2014, the drama series receive positive reviews and continues to be the “number one” show in afternoon program defeating shows from the rival networks.
We can recall it is first extended only until August 2015, But because of the consistent high TV ratings, people behind the TV program didn’t think twice to extend it once again until January of next year.
Strong personalities in Entertainment industry also made a special appearances in the show that make drama series more exciting like Gloria Romero, Eula Valdes, Cherie Gil and Eddie Garcia.
Director Mark Reyes also said that by January, “The Half Sisters” will be one year and six months making it the longest running TV series for GMA Network.
“By that time January hits, we’ll be one year and six months. Record breaker yun. Encantadia ran for a year e. So ito yung pinakamahaba so far.” Mark Reyes said in an interview.
In addition, Director Mark Reyes also confirmed that a new story line for the drama series is in progress. He claimed that the new story line will be more exciting and controversial but they are not allowed to discuss the details in public yet.
“Actually, we’re not yet allowed to announce the next story arc yet but it’s kind of edgy, controversial na you just have to watch it, Mark Reyes said.
This is definitely a good news for the fans of Barbie Forteza and Thea Tolentino. Who knows maybe after January 2016 it will be once again extended.
