Blockbuster director Wenn Deramas shared the story behind losing 50k followers on the most-used social networking site, Facebook.
In Abante Online report, Deramas said his ‘Dinuguan’ (pork blood stew) post which is connected to Iglesia Ni Cristo rally triggered his loss.
His Facebook status read, “I got caught in traffic for three hours, If I didn’t turn my car, probably I would have been stuck there forever. I fell asleep and dreamt that it’s raining “Dinuguan”, there was no puto (steamed rice cake) [and] people were running”. This was posted on Sunday evening. The day after, he couldn’t access his account.
He noted that the post registered thousands of likes but unfortunately not everyone was happy with it. Almost 350 people reported it. “Why would they get offended? Who would not get scared of “Dinuguan” rain, right? It was just a dream,” he defended.
He claimed that he didn’t received a memo from Facebook which held “no investigation” about the issue.
The movie director admitted that he is having a hard time accepting friend requests again and it would take some time to get more followers in his new account named Wenn V. Deramas.
