Hello to “Jak en Poy” fans!
Watch out for the reunion comeback of Maricel Soriano and Roderick Paulate as the two are expected to star in a sitcom in TV5, according to entertainment writer Nitz Miralles in Philstar report.
It seems that few days after he has taken the position as TV5’s entertainment chief strategist, Vic del Rosario is already gearing up for something big to offer to the viewers, that includes conceptualizing for the upcoming show.
Del Rosario has already spoken to respective managers of Paulate and Soriano and both have agreed upon the project.
Diamond star last TV series project, “Ang Dalawang Mrs.Real”, ended a year ago while the 55-year old host’s “Singing Bee” bid farewell earlier this year.
Meanwhile, the show , which is still unnamed, hopes to be aired as early as January or February next year.
This good news for 80’s fans sprouts more thrilling questions as to what roles these two iconic stars will portray. Will it be “Jack en Poy”-inspired sitcom? Will Paulate be portraying a gay character and Maria as tomboy role?
Are we up for a new dance craze? It can be recalled that ‘Shake Body Body Dancer’ became the signature dance of Soriano in the said hit movie.
5 months ago, Paulate took a photo together with Soriano in a gathering and shared it on Instagram with a caption, “We really miss each other. We simply love each other. I love you, my dear Maria! :)”
The whole thing was indeed surreal knowing this photo of them together turned out to be a greatest hint that they will reunite once again. LionhearTV only hopes the best for the pairing of these two.
