Top 13 finalists question and answer portion:
First up is candidate number 7 Ma. Jackielyn Dulay to answer the question “what lesson did you learned as a child that you still hold on until today?” She answers with uncertainty “to have a positive quality which is love” and went on in saying “I also love my fellow candidates, the organizers”. After her time is up, hosts Iya Villania and Tim Yap reminded the candidates that they could answer in whatever dialect or language that is comfortable to them.
Second in line is the crowd favorite number 19 Hillarie Danielle Parungao. She was asked – what is the significance of being a beauty queen in this society and she quickly answers- “is to uphold the value of compassion. And I want to be a beauty queen since I want to share compassion to others.”
Candidate number 22 Vianca Louise Marcelo question is “if you could turn back the time what will you change?”. She started by answering “I would not change anything.” (paused) then went on in saying “because I am learning from mistakes” and then she panics and did not quite finish answering the question.
It’s Christelle Abello candidate number 5 who hails from Aklan turn. The question given to her is “What Philippine destination would you take a tourist and why?” She said “It will be Kalibo in Aklan since I am proud of my roots taken back in Kalibo Aklan. And the scenery is forever true and beautiful.”
Now its candidate 2 Jannine Loudette Alipo-on turn with the question “If you are a beauty pageant judge what question will you ask? She said “Who will be the person from the past that you will bond to give back to life?” And continue with “If you will ask me, I will answer Jesus.”
The question for number 21 Mia Allyson Howell is “what is the best thing that ever happened to you so far and why?” She gave a short answer- “I think life itself! I’ve been so privilege to live a life full of experiences, full of wonderful people I am just so grateful to have been blessed and to be born. So, that’s it.”
Its candidate number 17 Jessica Rose McEwen turn to answer the question- “What bothers you most as to what is happening to Philippine society today and why?” She answer by saying- “I think what bothers me the most is that us teenagers are not very responsible anymore. Even though we get along with our lives, we sometimes forget the important things. But someday I realized we will grow and we will learn from our experiences.”
Number 12 Emma Mary Tiglao answers to the question “if you could go anywhere in the world where would it be and why?” She said she would want to visit Paris in France because it is her dream place. I just want to see the Eh..Eiffel Tower.”
Candidate 24 Jeddahliz Maltezo question is “If everything is possible, what is the one thing that you want to invent and why?” She said she would invent a ‘time machine’ so that she could go back in the past to ‘fix’ things. She will go back like 300 years ago to the Spaniards era and fix things to help people, the women who have been raped and especially those who have been killed.
Its Janelle Tee number 6 turn to answer the hypothetical question of what will be the first thing that she will do in case she wins the crown. She said she will help the “beauty with a purpose” beneficiaries by sharing her prize with abused women and children.
The question “Outside of family who is the greatest influence in your life and why?” went to candidate number 8 Kiaragiel Gregorio. She is very confident in answering this question- “Outside my family, my greatest influence would be one of my role models and that is why I decided I want to be a law student which is Senator Merriam Defensor Santiago. Because she is a woman who is not afraid to speak out her opinion but is never afraid to listen to others.”
When asked the question “if you could be in someone else’s shoes for a day whose would it be and what would you do?” Marita Cassandra Naidas number 14 said that it would be the shoes of street children; so that she could learn what these children are experiencing when out in the streets and to have a better knowledge of their lives.
Last girl on the top 13 question and answer portion is candidate number 1 Ma. Vanessa Wright. “What can be your greatest contribution to Philippine society?” She said- “I think my greatest contri_(buckles) contribution to Philippine society will be education because without education and educating the people there will be no society. When we start with education will work ourselves up to solve greater issues.”
It is time to call out the top 5 of Miss World Philippines 2015 with the envelope being handed by Mr. Roman Filipe Reyes which Iya accepted.

Anchorwoman Gwendoline Ruais who is also a beauty queen (1st runner up 2011 Miss World) in her silver and black bustier gown standing tall among the audience admits that it is really nerve-wracking answering the questions under pressure. She reads the mechanics for the final bout of questions for the finalists as Fernando Jose seated on the judges’ table looks on attentively. Candidates are given one minute to answer which is doubled the time on the semi-finals round of Q & A.

Candidate number 12 picks judge Ben Chan with the question- pick a current global issue and suggest a practical solution. Emma Mary Tiglao answers- “I think its education. For the solution- me standing In front of you acting as a role model, I can be an inspiration to the youth so that they will be inspired to study more so that in the end they will have a good future.”
Ma. Vanessa Wright candidate number 1 chose Migs Zubiri- “If you’re to become a lawmaker let’s say a congressman or a senator, what will be the first law that you want to pass and why?” Vanessa answers by saying “The first law I’d like to pass is free education for all up into high school because without education we could not progress as a person and as a society. So if everyone is entitled to free education up into respectable degree that way we can have basic knowledge and progress.”
Its Hillarie Danielle Parungao number 19 wearing an applique embellished see-through beige gown turn to pick a judge from the bowl. It is Ms. Cris Albert of Fila and the question is “what is your life’s philosophy and why?” Her answer is- “My life’s philosophy always relies into compassion. Because I believe that compassion can help, can open doors into many challenges in life that we can resolve that we can progress as a society. And I also believe that in compassion we get to understand all the people and in understanding other people we became a better society.”
Next is number 14 Marita Cassandra Naidas and picks judge Fernando Carillo. The Venezuelan actor candidly asks “Hello Marita- what makes you proud to be a woman?” Marita said- “What makes me proud to be woman is that I am able to express myself and be confident and through this I am bale to inspire others to do the same so that they could be the best versions of themselves without comparing themselves to other woman.”
The last but not the least of the finalist is candidate number 21 Mia Allyson Howell. She has chosen judge Megan Young (Miss World 2013). And the beauty queen judge asks- “What super power would you like to have and what is the first thing you will do once you get it?” “I think I would really like to have the ability to read people’s minds because a lot of time people don’t express what they need and so if I could read people’s minds you know not over abuse this power, I could help the people who really need it and do not have to say anything about it.”
Miss World Philippines 2014 Valerie Weigmann does the farewell walk on stage looking very beautiful as she turns over her crown to her new successor. She is wearing a powder blue lace backless gown in plunging V-neck and short lacey train. Her advice to the 26 candidates of Miss World Philippines and to the winner is “to inspire, aspire, seek and believe.” “Inspire others to reach further, aspire to be more than you are, seek significance over material success and believe deeply that is truly and giving that we could become beautiful.”
The final results are finally tabulated and again Mr. Roman Felipe Reyes hand over the envelope. But before that Iya Villania gives a rundown of prizes to be won.
Top winners will each receive whole life insurance worth 1 million from Philippine Prudential, special gift pack from Jazzy France and Asida Paris, set of luggage from Pilot Luxury Travel. Crowned Miss World Philippines 2015 will also get 1-year personal training worth Php84,000 from Gold’s Gym and a pair of diamond earrings from My Diamond.

4th Princess cash prize is Php 100,000
3rd Princess cash prize is Php 200,000
2nd Princess cash prize is Php 250,000
1st Princess cash prize is Php 300,000
Miss World Philippines will take home 1 million pesos.
Miss Cory Quirino- Miss World Philippines director is called out on stage to announce the winners. Ms. Cory in elegant electric blue organza gown said as she opens the envelope “I am more nervous than the candidates.” “Are you ready Philippines?”

On December 19, 2015 our very own newly crowned Miss World Philippines Hillarie Danielle Parungao will join the rest of the beauties around the world at the posh Crown of Beauty Theater which was especially constructed for the Miss World 2003 in Sanya, China. South African and Miss World 2014 Rolene Strauss will hand over her crown to her successor at this prestigious beauty pageant celebrating 65 years of Miss World.
