Rumor has it that Elmo Magalona is said to be leaving GMA and moving to ABS-CBN soon, according to Bandera .
Speculation surfaced that the 21-year old rapper/actor is waiting for his GMA contract to expire.
But in a previous PEP interview last year, mother Pia Magalona said his contract has ended already [August of this year].
Two months already passed but no announcement has been made whether he will leave his mother network and look for a greener pasture.
Francis Magalona’s son admitted that he’s open to accept any offers that would come in.
Meanwhile, a source from younger Magalona’s camp said that signing for renewal with GMA Network is still “under negotiation”.
Entertainment writer Nitz Miralles second the notion and posted on Twitter that the actor and the management is on speaking terms.
After Sunday All Stars bid goodbye, he was seen again on TV screen when he and her onscreen and offscreen loveteam partner Janine Gutierrez portrayed a lovestory in “Wagas”.
As many obviously thought, transferring to ABS-CBN won’t do any harm for the young actor but rather will open more opportunities just like what her sister Maxene did when the latter transferred to Kapamilya Network.
In an interview with “The Buzz”, she said she does not regret moving to the network and is quite seemingly happy with a number of projects she has done and will be doing and regarded that those opportunities are helping her to “grow so much more.”
Reversal of fortunes
Given the fact that all attention are now on Alden Richards, whose career skyrocketed after being paired with Maine Mendoza aka Yaya Dub, reversal of fortunes between him and Magalona is noticeable from which it was the latter who was taking the lead before.
