With his latest primetime bida show in ABS-CBN “Ang Probinsyano,” Coco Martin once again proved that he still deserves to hold the ‘King of Primetime’ title. With its first week, the show already gained 40%-41% in ratings. And just recently, the show got the highest rate of 42.6% beating “Marimar” in GMA Network.
Aside from gaining high ratings in Philippine TV, “Ang Probyinsano” is also a nationwide trending topic in Twitter. Based on the netizens’ points of view, the teleserye is indeed one-of-a-kind plot produced by expert staffs, and played by veteran actors and actresses.
“Lahat ng aspeto ng AP, mahusay! From the actor’s performance, to music, editing and cinematography! Kumpleto, wala ka nang hahanapin pa!” as said by one of the televiewers.
When Coco Martin was asked about the success of his teleserye, the actor humbly answered, “Sobra pong salamat. Hindi namin ini-expect ‘yung ganitong recepting ng tao, pero sobra naming naa-appreciate. Masaya kami na nag-i-enjoy sila.” With this statement, he proved that he is indeed one humble, devoted, and passionate actor.
“Ang Probinsyano” is a TV adaption of FPJ classic, directed by Malu Sevilla and Avel Sunpongco and produced by ABS-CBN, Dreamscape, and FPJ Productions. Part of the show is actually tribute to the late Fernando Poe Jr. but the show as well put importance on the lives of our policemen, most especially to the Special Action Force. “Ang Probinsyano” finds Coco Martin in another double character role Ador and Cardo, the identical twins who loves to serve the country as a member of the police force. Together with Coco Martin, the show also starred by Susan Roces, wife of Fernando Poe Jr., Maja Salvador, and Bella Padilla.
