The bashing between Kapuso and Kapamilya fans had just gotten fiercer, especially since the AlDub love team’s popularity has skyrocketed in a very short time. Now, the battle took a turn for the worse as bomb threats during “Sa Tamang Panahon” have been posted on social media.
Eat Bulaga’s “Sa Tamang Panahon” will be held on October 24 at the Philippine Arena. Tickets for the said event have reportedly been sold out since yesterday. While most of the bomb threats of Philippine Arena were obviously sarcastic jokes from diehard fans, many AlDub fans are not amused.
They say that those who are posting such messages should be apprehended by concerned authorities. A lot of AlDub fans are saying that if one is in a plane and makes a bomb joke, he or she can be arrested. There have been instances like these in the Philippines, and cases have been filed against several individuals for violation of PD No. 1727, or what they call the Bomb Joke Law.
The threatening messages have been noted by the AlDub fans. A lot of them sent the screen-captures of the posts to the Twitter accounts of Joey de Leon, Allan K, and Tito Sotto. Some even notified the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group of the Philippine National Police (CIDG-PNP) via social media.
We think it’s about time that the fandoms of both networks should cool down. The threats, name-calling and bashing should all be thrown in the dustbin.
