One of our National Artist Bien Lumbero, praises the AlDub Loveteam and Kalyeserye Family. He admits that his whole family is a member of the #AlDub #Teambahay, meaning they follow the Kalyeserye Series everyday through watching it on television.
Who is Bien Lumbera (or Bienvenido Lumbera) you may ask, he is a literary scholar, social commentator, librettist and a poet, and has been chosen as 2006 National Artist for Literature.
Lumbero even mentioned that thru the Kalyeserye Series, it shares and defines the true value of the Filipino culture and tradition. And he also said that “It would be interesting to know how they would continue and grow the Kalserye Series.
Because of his excitement, Ka Bien, as his friends fondly call him, showed his new #AlDubUshirt with matching #Pabebe Wave.
He ended the interview with these statement, “the AlDub Kalyeserye Series is very unique in everyway and it is amazing how the Filipino viewers have loved and accepted the AlDub Phenomenon.”
It is just amazing how the AlDub tandem is now considered as the latest fandom craze in the Philippine television. But what exactly are the reasons the Filipino viewers became addicted with them? The simplest answer would be – because we Filipinos are very family-oriented, respectful, courteous and we’re so easy to please, and we find pleasure in the simplest things.
And Lola Nidora (played by Wally Bayola) – keeps sharing the good values of olden times which serves as a reminder for the younger generation, like, dressing properly (no showing of too much flesh), asking permission from the elders before going to dates, and “pagmamano sa mga matatanda” as a sign of respect for the elderlies. These are just some of the reasons why these AlDub Phenomenon became so close to the hearts of almost all Filipinos.
