Singers come and go. Some remain in the industry, getting their names bigger, while others, are venturing to another talent they have. Some are popular and some are not. There are also issues, if who will be the real singers that can actually sing well.
It is really a tough competition to retain your position as a singer. The good news is, if you are tired enough to hear the same theme and genre of music, why not listened to a male-group that can soothe your mood. A male-group who will serenade you with love songs that will pierce to your heart. They are called Harana.
With members Bryan Santos, Joseph Marco, Marlo Mortel, and Michael Pangilinan, these guys will not just make you fall in love with their good looks, but definitely will make you fall in love with their good voices as well. Who would have thought that TV handsome actors do have a great talent in singing?
Launched just a few months ago, the career of these boys seems to be fast-paced. In less than a year, they are already dominating the radio stations blasting their singles, ‘Baby I Need Your Lovin’, ‘Smile In Your Heart’, and ‘Number One.’ They also served as an opening act in the concerts of Boyzone and our very own, KZ Tandingan.
Due to high demand, Star Music will going to have Harana’s first major concert at Music Museum this coming October 16, 2015. Another milestone for Harana Boys. How did they prepare for the concert? Bryan, Joseph, Marlo, and Michael shares everything in the recent bloggers’ conference at Star Music conference room.
“We don’t have our rehearsal yet. But we are already studying the songs we’re going to sing in the concert. We do vocalization in our own so we are ready when intensive rehearsals started,” Marlo said.
“We actually have our bonding moments, like basketball. We’re so comfortable with each other that’s why we are confident that we will give our best and we will give justice to the trust that was provided to us,” Joseph added.
Seeing this quartet is kind of refreshing. You will see that there is a special bond formed on them. They even kid about the dream person to sing to once given a chance. They classified it as impossible and possible dream. Michael dreams of singing to Madonna and Carmina Villaroel and Joseph is to his mother and long-time crush Avril Lavigne.
On the other hand, Bryan dreams of singing to Kim Chiu and Anna Kendrick while Marlo is to Kris Aquino and Ariana Grande. And given a chance to work with a singing coach, they have different preferences too. Bryan wants to be trained by the Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo, Marlo by Stevie Wonder, Joseph by David Foster, and Michael by Adam Levine.
They also shared that there have personal preferences when it comes to the set list. They suggested songs that they know will make the audience fall in love, and they are happy that those songs are included. Aside from singing, Joseph revealed that he influenced them to do what he is doing in his soap “Pasion De Amor.” “For sure, the audience will be set on fire and the air conditioning in the Music Museum will not be enough,” Joseph said.
Unlike any other male group, Harana doesn’t contain a specific image. Which is a good thing because they can reach a wider audience with their style. Simply they are about serenading the audience. After the concert, they will make sure that they will balance singing and acting. The boys want to leave a mark that they can be successful in both ways.
