After singing his version of “Thinking Out Loud” live on Eat Bulaga, Alden Richards was presented with a Gold Record Award for his 2nd album, “Wish I May”. PARI Chairman Atty. Marivic Benedicto, PARI President Alvin de Vera and GMA Records Managing Director Rene Salta presented the award to a very thankful Alden. He became emotional again and cried upon receiving his second Gold Record award.
Last September 25, Alden Richards bagged his first Gold Record for his debut album “Alden Richards” under Universal Records. It should be noted that Alden Richards’ “Wish I May” album has not even been formally launched, but it has gone Gold after it was made available for pre-order on iTunes. The “Wish I May” album of Alden is currently on top of iTunes Philippines Top Albums chart and has been #1 for a week already. It has surpassed One Direction’s “Made in the A.M.” album and Justin Bieber’s “Purpose”.
The album contains 11 songs, most of which are Kalyeserye favorites. Aside from the carrier single ” Wish I May”, it features Alden’s cover versions of “Thinking Out Loud”, “God Gave Me You”, and “How Great is Our God”. The album will be released on October 17 and will be formally launched at 6 PM on the same day at SM North Edsa, Cinema 11. Alden’s fans can also look forward to the October 18 launching of the music video of the carrier single “Wish I May” on Sunday Pinasaya.
