Former Pilipinas Got Talent finalist “Alakim” or in his true identity Allan de Paz, was released from jail sentence after three years and four months. He was charged with parricide for the death of his wife on 2012.
Alakim was known for his amazing magic tricks during the Pilipinas Got Talent Season 1 on 2010 in ABS-CBN. The magician faced parricide raps after being involved in the shooting and death of his wife Maricar. Alakim was as well wounded during the incident, however, he was charged with a non- bailable jail term.
Based on the initial police reports that time, the shooting incident happened after Alakim and his wife came from a birthday party. His wife Maricar shot herself inside their car, just in front of their home in Marikina City. After the incident, Alakim made a statement with ABS-CBN that he and his wife had a misunderstanding which caused the shooting incident.
After three years and four months, the court found out that Alakim is not guilty, dropped off the case, and released last August 2015.
Just recently, Alakim became emotional before he performed at 25th anniversary show ng Magicians’ Foundation Inc. (MAGFI) last Friday October 23, 2015 at Tanghalang Pasigueño, Pasig City. He was overwhelmed on how his co-magicians praised him on his efforts and contributions in their profession.
With the exclusive interview of Alakim with Pep.ph, he stated “Lagi lang akong kumakapit sa Kanya pero hindi ko Siya sinisi sa mga nangyari.”
Due to the incident happened with his wife, he made a strong relationship with the Almighty God and even thank Him for numerous blessings.
“Lahat ng blessings, maraming klase ng blessings, pero huwag kayong magsalita palagi ng ‘thanks for the blessings’ kapag nakakatanggap ng mga material things.” said Alakim
