Aga Muhlach seems bent on going back to ABS-CBN.
During the birthday celebration of ABS-CBN and CEO Charo Santos-Concio, Aga Muhlach was part of a production number wherein the top actors of the country serenaded her.
Each one of the actors sang a touching song for Charo Santos and each one of them gave her a white rose.
Christopher de Leon belted out “Wildflower”, Richard Gomez performed “Just the Way You Are” and Sam Milby sang “She’s Always a Woman To Me”. Piolo Pascual crooned like Elvis Costelo and wait, did he really kneel down like a proposing lover when he gave that rose to Charo Santos?
Anyway, it was Aga Muhlach who stole the show. He sang Ronan Keating’s “When You Say Nothing at All” but he tweaked its lyrics.
Aga sang “You say it best, when you say Aga, come home”. Immediately after he sang that line, the elite group of visitors erupted in cheers and applause. Charo Santos clapped with her hands raised, and hugged Aga tightly.
That welcoming hug by Charo Santos-Concio is nothing short of a confirmation that Aga Muhlach will soon be back at ABS-CBN.
Being a Kapamilya again will pose no problem for Aga Muhlach. He had been with ABS-CBN for 18 years, before his transfer to TV5 in 2011. But last year, Aga also left Channel 5.
In and interview with Push.com around October last year, Aga said that he will be in a movie again come 2015. He just needed to lose 40 pounds. He said he owes it to his fans to look his best.
When asked if he will go back to ABS-CBN, he answered that it is very possible since he “never had any bad blood with the network”.
He added, “I just need to lose weight, that’s the deal.”
It has been a year since that interview, did Aga manage to shed off 40 pounds? He still looks a bit on the chubby side, but he’s getting there.
Aga Muhlach will be a welcome addition to ABS-CBN’s roster of stars. After all, a top-notch actor like him never goes out of style.
