“You see me smiling, but it doesn’t mean I can sleep well at night.” This is the emotional message of ‘Pastillas Girl’ last Wednesday episode of “It’s Showtime”.
Angelica Jane Yap dubbed as ‘Pastillas Girl” when she joined ‘AskVice’ segment of the show. She became popular when she uploaded a video of her about how to make ‘pastillas’ with hugot lines pertaining to her ex-boyfriend.
Yap became a regular also in the show as she continues her quest to find her Mr. Right. She became an instant sensation and boys are lining up to be her ‘Mr. Pastillas.’ It was a quick road to stardom, as what others say. Pastillas Girl is trending almost every day.
But it is not all bed of roses to Yap. As her stardom soaring up high, negative comments came rushing in as well. People who are not happy on her journey keep posting bad words about her. Yap is aware of those comments she read over social media. And she admitted she was hurt.
That emotion wasn’t denied last Wednesday when Vice Ganda asked her what she feel, tears immediately run down from her eyes. A sign that the girl is hurting, but still trying to keep her composure with smiles on her face.
Yap was even compared to Maine Mendoza aka “Yaya Dub” of the rival network. But if people are just going to see on the bright side, what objective they portraying are actually different. Bringing up past issues aren’t nice, especially if it is irrelevant. These could be cyber bullying and that can be taken against whoever will pen down nasty comments.
Whatever Ms. Pastillas experiencing now, she is still lucky to have “It’s Showtime” family that supports her all the way. For now, let’s just enjoy watching and keep on tracking who will be the right Mr. Pastillas for her.
