She was told that she passed the interview and took the role of Lola Nidora’s maid as Yaya Dub.
It was July 16, 2015 episode, when one of the hosts of the longest noontime variety show told Yaya that there’s someone who wanted to meet her.
Direk Mike Tuviera, upon knowing that Yaya has a huge crush on Alden Richards, arranged for the two to meet.
“Alden was having lunch and was done for the day. The segment being aired that time was ‘Juan For All/ All for One.’ Upon knowing that Maine admired Alden, they called the latter, put him in the front row, and told him to stay and look more handsome,” Mike revealed.
The viewers got to see the first smile of Yaya Dub when she saw Alden on the split screen and that’s the moment where AlDub love team was born.
It indeed has caused a mass hysteria among the supporters. They got huge following in social media, beating their own Twitter record almost every week. The recent trending topic #AlDubMostAwaited got an overwhelming 12 million tweets, ranking third all over the world in the history of microblogging site.

Also, they got big commercial endorsements under their belt- fast food chain and telecommunication company.
Recently, it was confirmed the two will take part in Metro Manila Film Festival Film entry of host/comedian Vic Sotto and Comedy Queen Aiai delas Alas.
These only prove that digital media can help you reach the top of the ladder, just like what happened to Pabebe Girls and Maine Mendoza of AlDub.
