Last Friday September 5, 2015 the Marimar’s cast and crews were taping some scenes at Morong Bataan when suddenly strong and huge waves backlash their boat.
According to Mr. Yan Yuzon; their acting coach, it was enormous waves that is why the boat was accidentally capsized. Good thing that happened was, they were able to grasp to the boat’s outrigger and fortunately there are no scars or wounds happened to everyone involved.
Meanwhile, Tom Rodriguez who plays the role of Marimar’s leading man on the TV Series immediately jumped from the speed boat where he was riding to pass the rope to catch and other crew members to dig up the capsized boat.
Due to this accident, Marimar’s team got stronger; it helped to tighten the friendship they have and to make sure that everything on the set is secured to prevent any accidents in the future.
However, accident is inevitable as well as complains and suggestions from the others especially from the relatives of the crew. One of the crews’ wife suggested that the accident will not happen if only they have chosen a bigger boat rather than to stick into a small one in order to withstand the brawny waves of the beach in Morong, Bataan.
The team of Marimar has given a clear statement regarding on the safety of the casts and crew that they already have safety measures on the set. It’s just that nature’s trip is unexpected and inevitable.
