We have seen her in more than 30 TV shows in ABS-CBN. Her character names like Jasmine, Audrey, Jade or Yuan, Celyn, and Andrea have been circulating the household for many years. For almost a decade in the showbiz industry, this PBB Teen Edition Grand Winner has dominated the silver screen and even the music industry, with her incredible talent. Her name is Kim Chiu, the Philippine’s Primetime Princess.
After many years, Kim is set to star once again in a breakthrough movie of Star Cinema titled “Etiquette For Mistresses.” This project is something new for the ‘Chinita Princess’ because it is a role that is not her usual self. As what Kim said in her solo bloggers’ conference, “I have to offer something new to my audience. Something different. I’m glad my co-stars and Direk Chito helped me get out from my comfort zone.”
“The role fits me right. Ina Del Prado (her character) is exactly like her for being so innocent,” Kim added. “I accepted the role because it has a lesson to learn and it is very important for me whenever I accept projects. It has something that my audience can learn,” Kim continues. She also said that she is now ready to accept any role. Just not ready yet to show some skin.
Kim Chiu prefers a hit movie rather than receive an acting award, she confessed. I don’t want to think for myself. Instead, I want it to be substantial for all of us since we worked hard constantly. It is really not the usual movie people are watching most of the time. And I hope people support it.”
Indeed, it is a selfless thinking coming from a very successful actress of her generation. However, she just wants to share an advice to young women and to parents to reduce risk in involving to ‘mistress’ situation: Look for a new set of friends if your present is involved in wrongdoings and for the parents, have an open communication with your daughters.
