“Kuya (eldest or elder brother) is second to the father. He is the one who usually thinks of the idea of family bonding. As we all know its Filipino tradition that family bonding is always comes with food. And as we speak of “kuya” he is always the one who takes responsibility for taking care of his siblings and in-charge on serving his parents for being the eldest son.” Jericho happily explained.
When asked, what is his favorite Filipino dish? He promptly answered, “Adobo”, especially when paired with coffee. He even shared a trivia about 2 types of Adobo he loves, Adobo sa Gata at Piña and Adobo sa Mangga. He also added that when he needed to live in New York alone, he learned how to cook, and his favorite thing to cook is boiled eggs!
As Jericho closes the Q&A portion, he concluded with a message “If there is one thing he would share, it’s his love for family and gatherings, and food is the center that connects the two. When Jericho graced the event, he did not just appear a VIP guest, but acted like a “kuya” serving his guests and visitors inside his home. He held a tray with a whole crispy pata, tagged along with a dozen of servers to serve a mouthwatering crispy pata dish to all the tables. Jericho has even went from one table to another, just to slice and serve portions of the cirspy pata to the guests. What an incredible person he is!
