GMA Network was hailed as the “Best in Show”, for winning in almost awards categories, last August 27, 2015 at the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel at the Spark Awards for Media Excellence.
The Marketing magazine launched, Spark Awards for Media Excellence to recognizes the top media solutions, products and services from media owners and publishers across South Asia, Southeast Asia and ANZ.
Out of over 200 hopeful finalists, GMA7 or Kapuso Network emerged as victorious with 1 Platinum, 7 Gold, 3 Silver, and 2 Bronze awards.
Also their campaigns led GMA to take home gold awards for Del Monte Kitchenomics App and the coverage of the Pacquiao-Mayweather Fight that took place last May 2016.
Prior to Pacquaio’s fight of the century with prizefighter Floyd Mayweather, the network launched the “People’s Champ” campaign in support of Pacquiaio’s fight using the hashtag #GoManny. That will provide fans across the globe the latest news and updates on his fight preparation on various platforms.
Aside from that, GMA also took the lead as the most watched coverage for the said match based on National Urban TV Audience Measurement (NUTAM) ratings. Tied in second place were Moving Walls and the last year’s champion ABS-CBN Corporation.
All entries were evaluated by respected panel of 23 media professionals.
Other media companies that bagged awards were Summit Media, BBC Worldwide, Big Tree Outdoor, Astro and Seven West Media & Yahoo7.
