“That’s his opinion and everybody’s entitled to their own,” these were the words of Showtime host Coleen Garcia about the cryptic Twitter posts of veteran host Joey de Leon which netizens presumed attacking the former program.
In an interview with PEP.ph, the 22-year old actress said that she didn’t want to immediately judge the posts. “I don’t want to go ahead and jump to conclusions… because, I mean, here in showbiz, there have been many understandings also.”
When asked, about her thoughts between the heightened competition of two noontime shows, “Eat Bulaga” and “It’s Showtime!”, she admitted being grateful that both program are doing their best to put a smile on everyone faces.
“One thing that I actually pick up on is that I’m happy that there are two noontime shows that are doing their very best to make people happy. Because, at the end of the day, it’s really about the audience. It’s really about the fans.”
Though the two are different, she believed that both still resonate to entertain the fans the best way they could. “The good thing about all of this is we’re two different shows and we’re trying very, very hard to make our fans happy,” she said.
Coleen has advice for Pastillas Girl
With all the negative comments Angelica Jane Yap aka “Pastillas Girl” has been receiving since she first appeared on “It’s Showtime!”, Coleen gave her piece of advice , “My advice to her, is to keep holding on , hold on to God because he’s the only one who can get you through everything.”
In an article published by Push, she said to bashers, “You know none of it is scripted. What I think is if you start to disregard the entire competition between the networks, you start to see that this girl is really special. She has something to offer naman to people. She deserves where she is now.”
