On August 31, 2015, a new romantic drama masterpiece “All of Me” will be the newest addition on ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold. The story deals with second chances of love with a time travel twist. The teleserye revolves around Manuel, 40 years old doctor who defies time just to be with the woman he love.
The old Manuel is Albert Martinez while the younger version is JM de Guman. This is also marks as JM’s TV comeback after doing “Angelito” two years ago.
Joining JM and Albert is the rising young actress Yen Santos, who will be doing her first daring role as JM and Albert Martinez’s love interest. In the story, Yen will be portraying Lena, a young woman who boldly challenges Manuel (Albert Martinez) to embrace life again and despite the age gap, they find themselves in love.
We see Yen Santos in her first starring role in “Pure Love” along with Alex Gonzaga. It seems the network gave her wonderful project and she’s very visible in TV dramas. Let’s ask her what she fells on this overwhelming project?
(Translation: I am so grateful! Earlier I cried. To tell you the truth, I really don’t know what to say. I am so thankful with all the blessings. That is why, I am doing my best to give back the trust you are giving me.)
In 2014, Yen portrayed two characters in Pure Love. She was Joan Viernes and Ysabel Espiritu. She perfectly played the character being bubbly and numb at the same time.
Right after Pure Love, Yen became part of Dream Dad as Maribeth Morales and also given a part in Janella Salvador’s Oh My G as the nun, Anne Reyes.
When asked, what is the difference of her character now as Lena from the previous characters she played?
Yen said, “Madami! Kasi si Anne Reyes, naka-focus sa relationship ng magkapatid at very conservative. Dito sa All of Me, lively si Lena. Bubbly at super positive sa buhay. Sobrang makulit at immature pero sincere naman.” (Translation: In many ways! Anne Reyes focused on her relationship with her sister and very conservative. In “All of Me”, Lena is lively, bubbly and have a positive outlook in life. She is also importunate and immature, but sincere.)
