Controversy continued to hound TV host/producer Willie Revillame, who after losing P50 million in his show “Wowowin”, recently revealed that he was also a victim of fraud.
Abante Online reported that Willie was defrauded by his former wardrobe team that allegedly padded the cost of the clothes worn by the “Wowowin” cast.
Willie said he suspected that there were irregularities in the purchase because of the extra charges that appeared on the receipts presented to him by one of the staff.

His trusted accountant kept track of the payments and suppliers later verified the questionable surcharges added to the actual cost. Willie immediately fired those responsible.
Giant networks also defrauded
Willie wasn’t the only victim of the scam. Two giant networks were also defrauded when they double-checked previous transactions made with the same team that deceived the game show host.
The finance staff of the networks discovered the anomalous payments for the wardrobe of the cast of a noontime show and two weekly TV programs.
One of the culprits used a fake receipt that showed the hidden charges on wardrobe payments.
