After 19 years on the air, is it time for Startalk to retire?
Unless it comes up with better ratings and fresh news in the next few weeks, Abante Tonite said we may soon see an end to the longest-running weekly entertainment talk show on TV.
In a recent meeting with GMA management, the cast and crew were reportedly told to deliver breaking entertainment news ahead of social media or close shop.

This is certainly a big challenge for the popular TV program that has over 1,000 episodes, and has delivered showbiz news for more than a decade.
As of the moment, no formal announcement has been made by the network whether the show will go off air if it fails to improve its ratings.
“Startalk” is hosted by Joey de Leon, Lolit Solis, Ricky Lo, Butch Francisco, and Heart Evangelista, and airs every Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m.
