“We will definitely see each other again. To God be the glory.”
That comes from Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez who said goodbye to fans at the last episode of GMA 7’s “Sunday all Stars” (SAS) on August 2, 2015.
Her farewell also marked the end of her 18-year stint as the host of several noon time Sunday entertainment shows at the same network.

The multi-awarded singer’s stint as a noon time show host and performer started in 1997 at SOP (“Sobrang Ok Pare”) which was later renamed as “Party Pilipinas.” She hosted SAS from June 16, 2013 to its cancellation.
Regine was retained even after SAS was reformatted and shortened from 2 1/2 hours to 1 1/2 hours. In spite of this, the show was cancelled.
Although it is goodbye for now for Regine’s hosting duties, she may make another appearance in the near future. Fans are confident the singer’s voice, talent, and impact in the local entertainment industry cannot be ignored and will pave the way for her return soon.
