“ASAP 20” is no doubt, still the undisputed Sunday noontime musical-variety show, and has beaten all its rival shows from “GMA Supershow” to “Sunday All Stars.” Then came “Sunday PinaSaya” on August 9, “ASAP 20” became another clone of the new show in terms of productions.
I can’t blame “ASAP 20” main host Martin Nievera on airing his sentiments on Twitter when he shouted, “What has happened to the noon time shows on Sunday?”
“ASAP 20” is already a proven formula on giving world-class productions every Sunday to all Filipinos worldwide. and I don’t think there’s a need to copy “Sunday PinaSaya’s” format. “Sunday PinaSaya” was obviously made to offer an alternative entertainment to Filipino audiences since GMA Network is having a hard time to give “ASAP 20” a challenge.
What happened to “ASAP 20?” Is “Sunday PinaSaya” a real threat to your 20 years of existence?
