One of our sources rubbed elbows with ABS-CBN TV anchor and Rated K! host, Korina Sanchez (wife of LP Standard Bearer Mar Roxas) during Mother Lily’s birthday party. In their conversation, Korina revealed a juicy info regarding her visit in one of the public schools in Caloocan City.
The well-respected broascast journalist was invited to become a motivational speaker in the event. According to her, she asked the students about the most popular ABS-CBN actors. While the students were familiar with them and even cheered for them, Korina was surprised when someone tipped her to ask the students about Alden Richards.
Alden Richards is one of GMA 7’s prized talents these days. While he rested for about a year doing primetime series, his last being ‘Ilustrado’, where he portrayed the role of Jose Rizal. Richards’ first primetime role was opposite to Louise delos Reyes in Alakdana. GMA 7 thought they found a hit with this tandem and they immediately followed the series with ‘One True Love’.
Unknown to many, Richards tried out to be part of Startruck, where he failed to make it to the Top 60.
The actor remained relevant and just recently, his tandem with Yaya Dub (Maine Mendoza) became a trending topic on Twitter and social media. Their team-up AlDub became common household names since then.
