About 200 hopefuls auditioned for Bea Bianca’s role in “Pangako Sa ‘Yo” in an effort to succeed Vanessa del Blanca, who had portrayed the character in the original series. “Starstruck Kids” alumna Bea Binene was one of them.
Unfortunately, the Kapuso actress failed the audition and newcomer Sarah Carlos got the coveted role.
Binene’s appearance raised some eyebrows, considering that she co-hosts GMA 7’s “Good News” with Vicky Morales and has an exclusive contract with the said network, according to Philstar.com. Could karma be the reason why she didn’t make it?
If you recall, the same thing happened earlier to Asia’s Queen of Soul and GMA talent Jaya who auditioned for ABS-CBN’s “Your Face Sounds Familiar” but didn’t make it either. This leads one to ask: Why are Kapuso artists looking for a way out of their mother network?
Aside from the “Vampire Ang Daddy Ko” teen actress, PBB host Bianca Gonzales and “Your Face Sounds Familiar” grand champion Melia Cantivores also auditioned for the role but failed.
Binene entered showbiz when she competed in the reality-based artista search “Starstruck Kids” and finished sixth.
Meanwhile, you can still catch her on “Vampire Ang Daddy Ko” every Sunday at 6 p.m. and on “Good News” with Vicky Morales every Monday at GMA 7.
