DOBLE KARA.
Dubbed as the “Royal Drama Princess”, Julia Montes goes solo in Doble Kara, her first afternoon serye, and also the first time she isn’t with Kathryn Bernardo or Coco Martin, as lead characters.
The plot of the show screams cliché, as stories that feature twins or siblings separated at birth and became bitter rivals, has been used so many times already.
In the end, this boils down to Julia’s capacity as an actress, but that’s already unquestionable, isn’t it? The pilot week has so far shown the young versions of her dual characters, and is yet to show their teenage versions, this week.
Powerful performances from seasoned actors Mylene Dizon, Carmina Villaroel, and Ariel Rivera, are top notch and unmissable in the pilot alone, but the real star of the show, so far, is Avery Balasbas, who has portrayed the dual roles with unbelievable distinctions between them.
