Rustan Coffee Corporation (RCC), together with their Starbucks management, crews, media press, and other members of the community worked together as volunteers to help improve one public school in Binan Laguna. Teach for the Philippines, as what they call their campaign is, has a goal to help restore the school facilities and classrooms to help improve the learning environment of our public school students.
The beneficiary of the event is the Malabanan Elementary School where volunteers rebuild hundred of chairs and desks, paint murals, rest rooms, canteen cabinets, and garden. It didn’t just help the school and the students but helped the media press and blogger friends too building camaraderie and have experienced how the carpentry works. It was indeed a fun event for all.
In addition to this, an over flowing Starbucks drinks and pastries are provided for free the entire morning. You will see the excitement of the grade school students, who volunteered on the event, when the Starbucks Venti Bus started to give away the snacks. It is a one-way reward for the hard work of the young kids. The smiles on their faces are irreplaceable.
Through this event, RCC continues its support of Teach for the Philippines’ goal to build a more developed Philippines through education. The success of the business depends on the success of their projects. Only three (3) words can summarized this event – JOB WELL DONE!
