More Filipinos tuned in to ABS-CBN’s live coverage of president Benigno Aquino III’s last State of the Nation Address (SONA) held recently and hit a national TV rating of 19%, according to data from Kantar Media that covers urban and rural areas in the country.
It is almost nine points higher than GMA’s coverage that only recorded 10.4% nationwide.
ABS-CBN News’ special SONA special coverage was led by seasoned broadcast journalists Ted Failon and Lynda Jumilla for ABS-CBN, Tony Velasquez and Karmina Constantino for ANC, and Anthony Taberna and Gerry Baja for DZMM. Filipinos online also watched ABS-CBN’s live, uninterrupted coverage on abs-cbnNEWS.com’s livestreaming.
