Recently, GMA Artist Center unveiled and used the hash tag “teen queen” for Barbie Forteza on their Instagram account, amidst the truth that Kathryn Bernardo was the first one who was given the title as “Teen Queen” right after the Abs-Cbn’s “Princess and I” became the number one prime time series and hit the TV rating as #1.

Barbie has been in the showbiz industry for 6 years already and she got the attention of her fans, she was first seen on the remake of the “Stairway to Heaven” as the young Jodi. The 17 years old actress started first as a commercial model by then, she was given projects continuously by GMA Network.
At the age of 16, Barbie received the Best Supporting Actress Award under the category of new breed at the 10th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival and New Movie Actress of the Year Award on 26th PMPC Star Awards for movies.
Meanwhile the undisputed Teen Queen of the Philippines, Kathryn Bernardo started as Cielo on “It Might Be You” way back 2003, she already make a name for herself in the showbiz industry with 26 TV Series and 12 Movies since 2003. Aside from being the Teen Queen of the country, Bernardo received several major awards such as:
Best Film Actress from her and Padilla’s movie which is the She’s Dating the Gangster, Most Influential Teen Actress of the Year 2015 by EdukCircle Awards and German Moreno Youth Achievement Award on Famas Awards 2011. Amongst the abundant awards and titles Kathryn Bernardo received, one of the best awards she ever received when FHM UK entails Bernardo in Top 10 Hottest Nations in the World, representing our country on the 5th place.
Nevertheless, Kathryn Bernardo is still the undisputed, irrevocable Teen Queen of the Philippines. As for Barbie Forteza of GMA Network 7, she has to improve to the public her capabilities and make her own title in showbiz industry instead of defusing #TeenQueen tag from Kathryn Bernardo.
