The pre-primetime slot, oftentimes dominated by GMA Network on Mega Manila based on the ratings released by AGB Nielsen, was once again captured by ABS-CBN via “Pasion de Amor.” “My Mother’s Secret” was smashed by its rival “Pasion de Amor” on it’s premiere telecast on June 1, and from then on, “My Mother’s Secret” continued to register low ratings versus its counterpart on ABS-CBN.
The latest NUTAM ratings (June 18) released shows “My Mother’s Secret” with 11.8% on the 18th spot, while its rival “Pasion de Amor” with 20.4% is on the top 4. “Pasion de Amor” is literally giving GMA Network a headache with these data. Both Kantar Media and AGB Nielsen, NUTAM are agreeing that “My Mother’s Secret” is a big loser in terms of TV ratings.
This might be the reason why “My Mother’s Secret” is now rumored to get the ax from the management. It premiered on May 25 and currently on its fifth week of airing. The question now is, will it survive up to the end of August as planned? We’ll see…
