‘English Only, Please’ (EOP) garnered multiple awards from the 40th Metro Mania Film Festival last year and determined to repeat the same success, the lawyer-producer Atty. Joji Alonso is currently defining the word ‘best’ with her new entry for December’s film festival titled ‘Walang Forever’, which was supposedly a Judy Ann santos-Dingdong Dantes film and with a special participation of Derek Ramsay. However, after Santos announced her pregnancy, Atty Joji revealed the actress to replace the former; her lucky charm–Jennylyn Mercado and JM De Guzman takes over Dantes’ role as well.
Rumor has it that it would be an ‘EOP Part 2’, a screenplay by Antoinette Jadaone and to be directed by Dan Villegas. Yet the said source denied such ‘leakage’.
But according to the lawyer-producer, she made clear that Derek will still be in the film via a cameo appearance.
The film is expected to enter MMFF 2015’s magic 8, given the success of the two–with JM’s phenomenal hit ‘That Thing Called Tadhana’ and Jen who won Best Actress for ‘EOP’. Netizens are thrilled on the fresh tandem. Moviegoers, keeping those hopes steady.
Official entries for 2015’s MMFF will be announced this Saturday, June 20.
