It has always been an ongoing issue that every actor who manages to have a suspicious lifestyle–lives in a luxurious house, drives expensive cars and has a flourishing career is always accused of having a gay benefactor; and that does not exclude one of TV5’s youngest and hottest artists–Mark Neumann. Most of the time, actors like Neumann are linked to some ‘filthy rich gay men’ who can afford to shower stuff and able to give such whims in exchange of something that the public are bound to create such issues or fabricate stories about any rising artist in Philippine showbiz.
Neumann is currently playing the lead role of Tak Gu in TV5’s ‘Baker King’ and is perceived to be successful with his career. The public sees this Kapatid actor as effective with his character since according to him, wherever he goes, people tend to call him his character name ‘Tak Gu’. It is a proof that he made a mark to the televiewers.
He was even compared to his co-star Akihiro Blanco and here’s what Mark said, “Okay lang. I admit naman na may struggles pa ako with my Tagalog lines.”
The guy is impressive especially now that he is trying to improve in his Filipino language. He trains himself to always speak in Filipino even if the question is in English.<.p>
The ‘Baker King’ star is dedicated in his craft, thus when the rumor about a gay benefactor hit the newsstands, it is quite hurtful on his part.
On an written by Mario Bautista, Mark immediately countered that issue on reports about him getting two cars from a gay benefactor.
“Not true. I only have one car.
“It’s a Ford Everest I bought it from my earnings when I did ‘Confessions of a Torpe’. I don’t even drive, yet. My handler drives for me. Right now, nakikitira lang ako with an uncle, so ang next plan ko is to buy my own condo na malapit lang sa TV-5 studio sa Reliance St. para hindi ako mahirapan when I go to work (Right now, I am living with an uncle so my next plan is to buy a condo near TV-5 studio on Reliance St. so it won’t be bothersome for me to get to work).
“I won’t be surprised na kung mabili ko yun, may magsasabi na namang regalo lang sa akin. I’m really working very hard. Halos wala na nga akong tulog, so sana huwag naman sila mag-isip ng masama sa akin (I won’t be surprised that once I bought the condo, people will still speculate that it’s another ‘gift’ from someone. I’m working very hard. I rarely even sleep so I hope they’ll stop thinking bad about me).”
