On the 20th anniversary of Preview magazine at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati, the media couldn’t help but notice Gretchen Barretto’s sudden exit from the red carpet when Dawn Zulueta arrived.
Barretto was accompanied by her partner Tonyboy Cojunagco while Zulueta was with her husband Cong. Anton Lagdameo. Barretto allegedly immediately entered the function hall upon seeing Zulueta. Inside, neither seemed to acknowledge the presence of the other.
Barretto and Zulueta have had a falling out in 2006 because of Barretto’s alleged primadonna attitude during their pictorial for a shampoo commercial. Th two supposedly got into a heated exchange of insults about their respective statuses in life and haven’t spoken since.
Gretchen was also seen snubbing her niece Julia Barretto even though Gretchen’s daughter Dominique went to chat with Julia herself.
Gretchen and Julia’s mother, Marjorie, are currently in a feud which is rumored to stem from Gretchen complimenting and admiring Liza Soberano, who has been dubbed Julia’s rival. But according to some reports, the feud actually began when Gretchen supposedly wanted to invite Marjorie’s ex-husband Dennis Padilla to a party hosted by Kapamilya Dreamscape Entertainment Head Deo Endrinal to settle the couple’s difference. This angered Marjorie, thus the latest Barretto family feud began.
