With its successful no commercial break pilot episode, “Wowowin” hosted by beloved TV host Willie Revillame, was expected to take over the ratings for its time slot. Unfortunately after airing for three weeks, the show was unable to deliver its promise.
The initial airing registered an 8+ figures in ratings nationwide but the succeeding weeks weren’t up to par making people question what are the contributing factors for these results. Speculations from viewers and critics alike points to the length of air time which might left Revillame’s fans disappointed. The show runs shorter than his previous offerings and doesn’t include beautiful co-hosts which everyone was used to.
Pitting against ABS-CBN’s movie block, “Wowowin” was supposed to give better numbers in terms of viewership but seems to be lacking that flavor which will make it supreme during its time slot. Other comments include that it was too dragging and doesn’t offer new things that may excite old and new audiences alike.
Hopefully, the show picks up in the coming weeks and provide the certain kick of entertainment that will boost its rating or else Revillame’s come back to this kind of show might be for nothing.
