Wondering how a P2-million smartphone case looks like?
Considered as one of the world’s most expensive smartphone cases, the fancy case, designed by one of the country’s leading jeweller Marilou Co, is created from 160 grams of 18K of solid gold and is encrusted with 60 diamonds.

Samsung Philippines tasked Marilou Jewellery to handcraft the one-of-a-kind smartphone case for their latest flagship phones, the Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge. It took the goldsmith a month to finish the beautifully-crafted phone case.

According to Co, the design was inspired by the metal and glass body of the S6’s. The revolutionary design is a huge take off from Samsung’s trademark plastic design.

The million-peso smartphone case was showcased along with other local works of arts during the Philippine launch of S6 and S6 edge at the SM Megamall Fashion Hall last April 17.
Speaking to the press, Samsung Philippines IT and Mobile head Digs Dimagiba said: “People always think that Samsung is only about technology. With this show, we want to prove that Samsung is also about creativity; that we can enable and inspire people to create beautiful things.”

Considered as the “prettiest smartphones” Samsung has ever made, S6 and S6 Edge are priced at P35,990 and P41,990 respectively in the Philippines.
