They are the duo behind the famous You Tube short films. They are the couple behind different song covers. They were loved by many. They are the very popular You Tube sensation, JaMich. Jam Sebastian and Mich Liggayu, real life couple but their love story was cut short when Jam Sebastian diagnosed with Lung cancer and passed away. Now, where the love story go?
But there are more story to tell. The perfect couple we thought is not perfect at all. Even before Jam buried, issues already starting to come out. Issues we never imagine is there. Issues that have been nipped in the bud for so long until the people itself noticed there are flaws in the situation. It is no longer between life and death. Moreover, it is now between the past love and the parents.
Mich bombarded with accusations from Jam’s mom, Maricar Sebastian. From personal things to money to present love life, all of these have been thrown towards Mich Liggayu. And the girl keeps her silence. Until today, Saturday, at GMA’s Startalk, Mich finally breaks her silence in all the allegations of Maricar Sebastian.
In an interview with Ricky Lo and Heart Evangelista, Mich started out saying “Trying to be strong po everyday.” When Lo directly asked her if there is a misunderstanding between her and Mrs. Sebastian, she answered, ‘Unang-una po, gusto ko i-clarify, kaya po ako nagsalita ngayon kasi, uhhm, gusto ko lang po i-klaro na lahat ng issues. Hindi ko po intensyon na sagutin yung mga interviews po ni Tita Maricar kasi nirerespeto ko po yung nanay ng taong minahal ko po. And yung ganitong issues po dapat sana hindi na pinu-public. Kaya lang yun nga po madami na napektuhan kaya andito na po ako para sumagot.”
She even said the misunderstanding they had before was just minimal. They even went out to dinner after the burial. Then her mother was shocked the following morning when they heard about Mrs. Sebastian’s rant in the news about the money matter. She doesn’t have any idea what is that all about. Mich also clarifies that she no longer part of the JaMich page. She even created her own to avoid rumors that she is still using Jam’s name. She doesn’t even know why there is a sudden change in Mrs. Sebastian way of treating her after the burial.
“Hindi naman po ako nagsasarado ng door sa kanila. Actually nagre-reach out kami sa kanila. Trina-try sila kontakin ng parents ko pero hindi po nila sinasagot. Trina-try po tawagan nila mommy pero hindi na po nila makontak. Ang nakakausap na lang po namin ay si Yexel at yung iba pa pong mga friends,” she added.
