Asia’s Got Talent third placer Gerphil Flores has been the center of controversy when she declined invitations from the Kapamilya network to TV guesting. An entry from an Entertainment blog called Fashion Pulis, it mentioned, ‘Flores has imposed certain limitations on her guestings in Philippine media, and that includes declining invitations from ABS-CBN, even an appearance in ASAP.’
In 2010, Flores was one of the contestants on Kapamilya’s Pilipinas Got Talent and despite her enchanting singing voice, she failed to impress the PGT judges Kris Aquino and AiAi delas Alas back then. She received feedback to sing current songs as opposed to classical songs and it sounded like a ‘discouragement’ to the young singer.
Despite the flak, Flores still pursued her dream of singing classical songs as she reached as one of the Top Three finalists in the recently concluded Asia’s Got Talent in Singapore; proving her detractors including the now-at-war Aquino and delas Alas.
After the AGT finals, she snubbed several TV shows on ABS-CBN like ASAP. Flores appeared and accepted interviews from the rival networks such as GMA-7 and TV5.
Earlier today, she even appeared on ‘The Ryzza Mae Show’ on GMA network.
